I had worked up to 4 drinks a night EVERY night and knew it was a bad habit (like when I used to smoke--quit 24 years ago) and this recording is exactly what I needed. I tried a couple others but they went into reasons "why people drink" in the middle of the so-called session, which I found to be a distraction since I was not drinking to "punish myself" or to "put myself into a stupor" In fact, I don't care what the reasons are--especially for other people. I just need to get where I didn't feel that it was "normal" to drink every night and too much at that. This recording is a guided meditation that takes you into a deeply relaxed state and then helps you realize that you do not NEED to drink. It's about drinking less and enjoying how you feel more. I have not slept as well as I have since the first day of using this and feel great. I have even lost 2 pounds in the past three days--probably the fewer calories as I am drinking ice water instead of wine, gin, or beer. In fact, I like this so much, I downloaded the "lose weight" one as well and started listening this morning. Will review that one in a week and see if it helps. When you tried to cut down but for some reason or the other it just doesn't seem to work and you always seem to end up back where you started, you may be looking for a solution.
Don't get me wrong- I don't think this is for the person who has a problem so serious that they are physically so dependent that they are not able to function normally. But I know there are many out there who during the day perform in their jobs, and perhaps as parents, but in the evening they just seem to 'need' those couple of drinks and it takes a significant amount of will power to cut down. If you, like me, fall into that category of 'a-bit-too much drinkers', this might be the ticket.

I have no prior experience with hypnosis, and being a very rational person I'm not a big believer in 'esoteric' things. But I learned that hypnosis is actually not esoteric at all and very logical. In my simple words, you put your conscious mind to rest and let the hypnotherapist speak directly to your unconscious, without the message being filtered by your thoughts. So the message can reach your unconscious mind directly and 're-program' a couple of things. Like, 'I don't need alcohol to relax'.

Using the mp3 just once, on my way back from work (all it takes is a quiet parking spot and 25 minutes), I found it amazingly effective. I just don't feel the need to drink any more. I can still have a beer, but I will be perfectly content with a sparkling water, too.

Using it every other day or so, I have easily and effortlessly cut back my alcohol consumption to 1-2 drinks a day, and I'm planning to cut back further. It is very easy. It takes no will power and you don't even have to think about it. You just see the change happen.
